AMM Accepting Award Nominations
AMM is accepting nominations for the 2008 Awards. In addition to the Distinguished Service Award and the Promising Leadership Award, AMM has announced two new awards, the Distinguished Career Award and the Best Practices Award. The deadline for submitting nominations is June 30, 2008.
AMM Announces 2008 Conference Speakers
AMM is pleased to announce the keynote speakers for the 2008 conference, Meeting in the Middle. Jonathan Katz, CEO of the National Assembly of State Art Agencies, and Jim Loewen, historian and author of the bestselling book, Lies My Teacher Told Me, are confirmed for this year's conference in Kansas City, Missouri.
AMM to Serve as Clearinghouse for Sample Documents
The Association of Midwest Museums (AMM) is collecting sample documents from museums and cultural institutions and will keep the documents on file, making copies available to AMM members who are searching for templates when developing forms for their institutions.
2007 AMM Salary Survey Report
The 2007 AMM Salary Survey Report is now available. More than 155 museums from around the Midwest participated in the survey, reporting on 3330 employees in 54 positions in the museum field. The 2007 AMM Salary Survey is the most complete and recent salary survey of museums in the Midwest and provides museums with sound data for planning compensation packages. To purchase a survey report, complete and submit a survey report order form.
