Position summary: The Outreach & Development Manager is responsible for the facilitation, maintenance, and assessment of fundraising initiatives and public communications of the Ephraim Historical Foundation (EHF). The key components of this position are establishing and overseeing moves-management fundraising systems, supervising the organizational membership program, leading the planning and implementation of community events, and serving as point of contact for social media and marketing efforts. As is true for all non-profits, this person will take on additional duties and responsibilities beyond those outlined below as the Foundation’s mission and operations require and as the EHF Executive Director instructs.

• Full-time salaried position. $55,000 to $60,000 per year depending on experience.
• Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Simple IRA Plan, PTO, and corporate YMCA membership option included.
• Reports to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities:
The Outreach & Development Manager role is a highly visible position within the Ephraim Historical Foundation’s environment with three primary areas of focus— fundraising & development (45%), public relations & communications (40%), and data systems (15%). Specific responsibilities are as follows:
•Develop and implement year-round fundraising initiatives in collaboration with Executive Director.
•Maintain donor management software database.
•Track incoming charitable gifts and generate outgoing acknowledgement forms.
•Serve as point of contact for membership-related inquiries.
•Plan, implement, and review marketing and social media initiatives.
•Lead organization and execution of community events.
•Grant writing as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•Five years’ experience in non-profit fundraising, or comparable degree/certificate.
•Exceptional communication skills and experience with the public, donor groups, press, external and internal stakeholders.
•Ability to speak comfortably to donors about giving.
•Experience with Bloomerang, or similar membership/donor management platforms.
•Knowledge of principles and best practices of charitable giving in the cultural sector.
•Ability to create, maintain, and utilize fundraising data to further development goals.
•Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and work with individuals and community-based organizations.
•Experience writing and submitting grant applications.
•Experience coordinating meetings, committees, and volunteer groups.
•Broad knowledge of current trends in museums, marketing, and community engagement.
