Salary Survey
AMM Releases 2007 Salary Survey Report!
After months of planning, AMM has released the 2007 Salary Survey Report. More than 155 museums participated in the survey and reported on 3330
employees in 54 positions. This is the first of five successive annual salary surveys that AMM will conduct in order to establish a baseline for
salaries and to track trends in the job market. It is the first salary survey that AMM has conducted since 2002.
In an increasingly competitive financial market, it is critical that museums have sound, current salary data for planning and administration.
Cultural institutions regularly compete with other institutions as well as the for-profit sector to hire the most competent and talented staff. Museums
and cultural institutions must provide competitive compensation to recruit and retain the best pool of candidates in the field. The 2007 AMM Salary
Survey will help museums in the Midwest make informed decisions about their compensation structure and will help museum professionals negotiate for
appropriate salary adjustments.
AMM has recently published the survey report, which is available at a discounted rate to AMM members for $25 ($50 for non-members).
All participating museums receive a complimentary salary survey report. If you would like to order a 2007 AMM Salary Survey Report, complete and return
the order form.
