Awards
Each year, AMM presents the Distinguished Service and Promising Leadership Awards at the annual AMM conference to recognize outstanding and distinguished service
to the museum field. The Association of Midwest Museums (AMM) is accepting nominations for the 2010 awards for the following four categories:
The AMM Distinguished Service Award is given annually to a single individual. The award recognizes long-term career service to a
museum professional with distinguished service to the museum community, particularly to AMM.
The AMM Distinguished Career Award is given annually to a museum professional who has a distinguished career and who has made
significant contributions to the museum field.
The AMM Promising Leadership Award is given annually to individuals who have worked or volunteered for a museum or museum
association for 10 years or less and provided exceptional service or shown outstanding commitment to the museum field. Prior service to AMM is not a
requirement.
The AMM Best Practices Award is presented annually to a museum or cultural institution that has demonstrated leadership in the
field through distinguished museum practices and/or innovative programming.
To nominate yourself or someone else, please complete and submit the
Nomination Form and a letter
detailing the nominee's history and qualifications (with a resume or CV, if available) to: AMM Awards Committee, P.O. Box 11940, St. Louis, MO 63112. The deadline
for submitting nominations is
June 30, 2010.
*All recipients must be AMM members and must be present at the AMM annual conference to accept their award.
