The Event Assistant provides support for public programs and other events hosted by the Chazen Museum of Art. This individual reports to the Event Coordinator and is a vital part of the museum’s Education team. The Event Assistant is responsible for event planning, set-up and execution, and working with vendors, speakers, and performers. While the Chazen Museum offers a wide variety of public programs, this role will focus on café programming, the Sunday Afternoon Live program series, and student engagement events. This position may support other programs as needed.
Assists with event planning, set-up, execution, and documentation to ensure events meet customer needs.25% Performs on-site event set-up and clean up and may perform basic custodial duties
10% Greets customers/guests, assists with registration, answers questions, and provides routine information, referring more complicates issues to appropriate entities
25% Assists with scheduling logistics and securing resources for vendor services
5% Gathers, enters, and maintains accurate event data and records
10% Assists with the creation of promotional materials and resources for events
5% Guides and trains student workers
20% Plans and implements public programs
Minimum $21.65 HOURLY
Depending on Qualifications
Minimum $21.65 per hour ($22,500 annually at 50% time).
