The Designer assists the Design team in the creative implementation of projects, upholding the standards of the Company’s excellence in design. The Designer provides project visualizations, graphic designs, and fabrication drawing expertise as needed for projects, as well as the creation of graphic production files. The Designer also works with the entire project team to assist in the successful design and build of projects on budget and on time, upholding the excellence of the Company’s work product.

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with the Project Team to create designs that best address the client’s goals and vision and facilitate the design process.
  • Collaborates with the Executive Production Director, to assist the Design team in the selection of materials that accomplish the goals of design and meet the project budgets.
  • Coordinates with the Design team to create graphics, visualizations, support drawings, and presentation and fabrication materials necessary for project deliverables.
  • Works with Executive Production Director and Exhibit Architect to coordinate with subcontractors in the facilitation of fabrication and construction.
  • Helps to promote Solid Light and its values and provides support in reaching its goals.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to include presentations and internal and external client deliverables.
  • Ability to professionally and efficiently correspond with external and internal clients and vendors via phone, email, and written correspondence.

  • Interpersonal relationships which encourage openness, candor, and trust, both internally and outside of the Company.
  • Accurate and timely completion of projects and/or reports.
  • Maintenance of Company information in a confidential manner.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in related subject or equivalent work experience and training.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in exhibit design.
  • Proficient understanding of computer applications to include Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet.
  • Proficient in Google SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite. AutoCAD proficiency preferred.
  • Construction knowledge preferred but not required.

 

SALARY RANGE

$48,000-$60,000
